House Eyeballing The Shark.

Hugh, go smack the goddam writers with your cane.

The last two episodes of Fox's House -- a show I love -- have been pitiful. It's like the show lost 30 IQ points. Lousy plotting, lousy dialog, exaggerated characters. Please God, stop it. If these are new writers fire them. Fire them now. Today.

The show is off the rails. Getting ready to jump the shark. Stop it.

Common, this show has always sucked. He’s like a medical super-man, with about as much of character depth. Now, let me tell you (in my very expert opinion) the worthwhile shows: Rescue Me (rocks!), Boston Legal (probably the smartest show on TV, certainly, one of the funniest. Shatner is actually an excellent actor – who knew?!), and the newcomer – The Simpsons, gotta love em.

House has always had its share of clunkers. What makes the show fun to watch is House himself. The last two episodes they've been messing with House's personality. First by making him happy and then by making him self-doubting.

    Boring.

Give me pissed-off-at-the-world, I don't-give-a-crap-about-feelings House. That's the House I like. Probably because I have a pretty large inner House myself.

Oh come on now... the recent episodes aren't jump-the-shark worthy by a long shot. Just give the new season some time to work itself out. I've watched every episode they've aired and I like every one. Sure the medical validity is questionable at times but then that's not why I watch the show, and I like seeing how house can be more than just a one-dimensional character.
These recent episodes have really shown him in a new light. And that's a good thing; keeps the show fresh.
