Michael van der Galien has strayed from reason and asked me to occasionally write for his wildly succesful blog, Poligazette. Believe me, I'm as baffled as you are. Here's my first post there.

    Congratulations, Michael! Nice piece, although I disagree about the relative lack of mutual hate within the Democratic Party. I'm seeing signs of that in a lot of places, particularly after the last debate, among Yglesias, Talkleft and TPM commenters to name just a few sites I've wandered through the last couple of days.

    As for the candidates themselves, When David Letterman asked how the three of them got alonga couple of nights ago, he replied: "How do we get along? We can’t stand each other."

    Oddly, he invited me on board this morning. Now we know he just wants to ruin all his hard work in building the site.

    I warned him that I'm not as thoughtful as Amba or as clever as Michael. But I do live in the same city as Dyre, so I got that going for me.

    I think I have the answer. Its booze.
    Having bar tended for years I know that the drunker a person is the more sense I seem to make to them.
